Common Area Clean-Up

A quick update that the trees on the south and west side of the neighborhood have been trimmed and/or removed. All of the trees in the neighborhood common areas have now been maintained.

In addition, fresh mulch has been applied along Delaware Parkway and 106th St. We certainly love how these areas look. The next focus will be updating the flowerbeds and putting in perennials where there are empty spots.

The HOA is doing its job on keeping the common areas looking great. It is up to each homeowner to make sure the same philosophy applies to your properties. Unfortunately, we have already begun to send out notices to homeowners for yards that are unkept and honestly pretty embarrassing for our neighborhood.

We have updated our approach to homes that need attention. The homeowner will receive a notice of the violation and will have seven days to correct it. If it is not corrected on the eighth day, it will be turned over to the city of Fishers. The City of Fishers has the authority to inspect and to assess fines as needed. In addition, depending on the violation, the HOA on the eighth day will contact the city of Fishers Police Department to address said issue.

As you all know, there is a new website for Summerfield HOA, which houses the covenants and other important documents that clearly explain the do’s and don’ts of the neighborhood. Therefore, there is no reason why a homeowner, both owner-occupied and rental property, can state that they were unaware of all rules/guidelines.

As we often say, the HOA cannot see everything all the time. Therefore if you have a neighbor whose yard is unkept, who can’t keep their dog in the backyard, whose coach lights are not working, and so on, please let the HOA know.

Thanks!

Summerfield HOA
